The Presbyterian church recognises the vital contribution children and families make to healthy congregations and is committed to equipping churches to intentionally minister to children and families. Kids Friendly Coaches offer advice, training, coaching and “best practice” resources to all Presbyterian and Uniting churches.

Cheryl
is married to Ken and lives in Dunedin. They have 4 adult children and two grandchildren. She brings together her experience as a primary school
teacher, and wife of a Presbyterian minister, to this exciting role of
Kids Friendly Advisor. This is a fulltime position paid by Synod as part
of the national Kids Friendly team.
Cheryl
loves to see all ages participating in and enjoying Sunday worship and
she is keen to encourage churches to explore new ways of sharing the
Good News of Jesus with community children and families.
She
is available to assist, encourage and resource churches as they
intentionally minister to children and families- on Sundays and during
the week, regularly or occasionally. If you have a children’s ministry
make sure your church is part of the Kids Friendly network where you can
get up to date information on resources and training opportunities. If
