Funding Committees receive applications from churches and other organisations to consider requests for money from the Synod. Committees are made up of representatives from each of the Presbyteries in the Synod area.
The committees all meet in February each year with the Mission and Evangelism Committee having an extra meeting in September each year.
Presbyterian parishes applying to the
Mission and Evangelism, and
Ecclesiastical Funds need their application to be with their local Presbytery by the
15th of October of the year preceding the meeting then be with the Synod Executive Officer no later than the 15th of December the same year.
Education Fund applications go direct to the Synod's Executive Officer no later than the
30th 0f November the year preceeding the February funding round.
Applications for the Mission and Evangelism funding round in September need to be in the hands of the local Presbytery by the 15th of July of the same year.
Ecclesiastical and Mission and Evangelism Funds are open to Presbyterian Churches in the Synod area. The Educational Fund is open to both Presbyterian Parishes and other educational organisations also within the Synod area.
